Good Sam Cruise for Care is Saturday
The Good Samaritan Society-Home Care is hosting a third annual fundraiser called Cruise for Care on Saturday, July 11. Participants will ride motorcycles or drive cars to each Good Samaritan Society facilities in Jackson, St. James, Mt. Lake, Westbrook and Windom. All proceeds will go to Good Samaritan Society-Home Care to purchase nursing equipment to serve clients in southwestern Minnesota.
“Not only will Cruise for Care raise money for useful equipment for our Home Care clients, but it also will be a fun event for the community members and will bring them to our Good Samaritan Society facilities,” Home Care Director Jodi Grandprey said.
Participants can register from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Good Samaritan Society-Jackson, 601 West Street. Registration is $20 and includes lunch, refreshments and door prizes. The fundraiser will be in St. James from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Mt. Lake from 11:30 a.m. to noon, Westbrook from 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and Windom at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to stop out to view the cars and motorcycles and bid on silent auction items and join the fun.
