Three doors down from the Historic State Theatre, a new downtown Jackson business is on its way to a shuttered storefront that once was home to computer-related businesses.
Scott Garber purchased the 608 Second Street property that sits between Jackson Chiropractic and Merv's Appliance Repair midway through this past summer from Dave and Bev Roland and renovated its upstairs apartment. Over the last several weeks, however, that renovation work has moved downstairs in preparation for the opening of a new business there, Garber said.
The Jackson-born and raised Garber returned to the community this past spring to be with his parents after living 20.5 years in Indiana and recently decided to stay, he added.
Look for more information on Garber's new business in a future edition of the Pilot, as his plans continue to take shape.
"It'll be a little process yet before we're done," he said.
