One person was injured in a wicked pickup-vs.-semi collision at the eastern onramp to Interstate 90 in Jackson Thursday morning.
The Jackson Ambulance Service was paged to the intersection of Highway 71 and I-90 shortly before 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
A Chevrolet pickup with Minnesota plates collided with a semi registered to Crescent Diamond Trucking of Basin, Wyo. A pickup tailgate, presumably being hauled in the bed of the pickup truck, shot through the back window of the pickup and exited through the front windshield on impact.
The driver of the pickup was transported by ambulance to Sanford Jackson Medical Center with unspecified injuries; the driver of the semi appeared uninjured.
