Chamber cuts ribbon at Prairie Rehab and Fitness

Members of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Prairie Rehab and Fitness to Jackson Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the recently remodeled fitness center. Local AGCO manager featured in ag paper

A local woman credited with engineering a robust, new customer contact and response system for AGCO is featured in the most recent edition of the Farm Market News.

In the article, Patti DeWall of rural Jackson, AGCO’s manager for customer satisfaction in North America, talks about the challenge of creating “AGCO Answers,” the ag implement manufacturer’s new customer service solution that offers a single point of contact for customers, ensures transfer to the right person or department and guarantees resolution.

The article offers detailed information about AGCO Answers and insight into DeWall’s extensive background in customer service, dating all the way back to her days at a country store on Old 16.

Winter crazy days all this week in downtown Jackson

A number of downtown Jackson retailers have teamed up for a winter crazy days shopping promotion this week.

Participating businesses include Strom’s Clothing and Shoes, Coast True Value Marine, Ashley’s Hallmark, Bridget’s Bucksnort’s Brew Ha-Ha and Grill and Sievert’s Furniture and Floors.

Details of the crazy days promotion can be found on the cover of the Sunday, Jan. 17, edition of the Livewire, Jackson County’s largest-circulation newspaper.



Local dentists offer free care to low-income kids

Local dentists are among those across the state providing free dental care to children whose families cannot afford to pay for it.

Dr. Deborah Christopher and Dr. Kevin Dunlavey of Jackson are participants in the Minnesota Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile” outreach program.

Christopher will offer free dental care to low-income children (ages 3 to 18) in need on Feb. 5 starting at 8 a.m. Dunlavey will schedule free examinations to those under 18 years of age Jan. 18-20 and necessary dental work on Feb. 6.

Appointments are required.
