A funeral service for Beth L. Schultz took place Saturday morning, July 3, at Osterberg Funeral Chapel in Jackson, with the Rev. Dr. Martin Lucin officiating. Interment was at Welcome City Cemetery, Welcome. Beth died on Tuesday, June 29, at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in North Mankato.

Casket bearers were Kevin Bartz, Dereck Bartz, Matthew Schultz, Nicholas Schultz and Anthony Schultz. Musical selections were “Air,” “Adagio” and “Cold Water.” Osterberg Funeral Service, Jackson, handled the funeral arrangements.

Beth Leona Schultz was born on Jan. 4, 1963, in Fairmont, the daughter of Kenneth and Wanda (Montgomery) Schultz. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1981. She then attended Augsburg College for two years and later graduated from Jackson Area Vocational and Technical Institute, as a medical transcriptionist. She moved to Mankato and went to work at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital until 2009.

Beth was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Jackson. She loved to do pencil drawings. She loved to read, make photo albums and cook. She was known for her laughter. She inspired others by repeatedly emerging from extremely challenging and complicated medical circumstances.

Beth is survived by her father, Kenneth Schultz of Jackson; four brothers, Dan (Darcey) Schultz of Jackson, Steve Schultz of Okabena, Tim Schultz of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jay Schultz of St. Paul.

Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents; aunts and uncles; cousins; and her mother, Wanda Schultz.
Blessed be the memory of Beth Leona Schultz.
