Peter R. Ackerman, 39
Peter Ross Ackerman of 66th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Monday, July 19. A memorial service took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Troy Metzner officiating. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Pete was born at U.S. Naval Station in Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada. He was the son of Frank and Olive Pearl Noel Ackerman. Pete was a 1989 graduate of Mason City High School. He was an Eagle Scout, participated in Little League and hockey since the age of 4. Pete was a graduate from Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa, in 1991. He also attended Coastal Carolina College and Horry Georgetown Technical College. Pete was employed by Beach House & Racket Club for 15 years and also worked for the Convention Center, House of Blues and various other convention centers in southern states.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Ackerman Jr. and Bernice Ackerman, and Cyril and Beatrice Noel.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Chantele Ackerman of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a loving daughter, Jessica Dakota Ackerman of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Jo Ann Stumpf of Lakefield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Peter and Maria Stumpf; special aunts, uncles, and cousins in the United States and Canada.
He will be missed by so many friends and family. We love you, Pete and Daddy!
