Who: All ages
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between puddle ducks and diving ducks? Or wondered how scientists know what they do about their migrations? Join us as guest presenter, Howard Paul of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, shares his knowledge of the many aquatic birds that have made our Prairie Pothole region famous as a waterfowl production area. Learn the history of the market hunting industry that resulted and the laws that were put in place to protect these water-loving treasures.

Enjoy life in the snow lane. Our annual snowshoe hike is here again! Snowshoeing is a great way to have fun and rediscover how to enjoy winter like a kid. Join the PEBC for a hike on the trails of Sparks Park and see the winter scenery in a whole new way. We'll top off the afternoon with a belly-warming mug of hot cocoa! Snowshoes are provided or bring your own. Snowshoes are limited so call early to register!

Winter is an awesome time of year to figure out where the wildlife spends their days and nights. By checking out their tracks and other animal signs, we can figure out who's been visiting Sparks Park! Join us to learn how to identify different animal tracks, which scat belongs to what critter, and try to figure out just where those snow tunnels lead to! Dress for a hike through Sparks Park as we track the unknown!
