Who: Youth Grades 2-5 Whether you're camping, on a hike or simply walking to school, you may notice clues that animals were around when you weren't looking! Some of the coolest signs are tracks. By studying animal prints, we can learn what the animal is, where it was traveling and much more! If you'd like to learn more about tracks and other animal signs, bring a white or light colored, plain cotton t-shirt (pre-washed) to make your own tracking shirt. Rhythm of the River's 5th Annual 'A Taste of Jackson' Fundraiser at the Jackson Golf Club. Enjoy a fantastic evening sampling a variety of wine, beer and hor d'oeuvres, along with an array of home brews and wines made locally. There will be a basket raffle, live entertainment and dancing. All proceeds support Rhythm of the River. Tickets are $20 for single and $35 for couple and are available at Pizza Ranch, Bridget's Bucksnorts, at the Chamber office or from any committee member. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door.

The Jackson County Birdwatchers invite you to come to their next gathering and see what the feathered fun is all about! Guest speaker, Wendell Hansen of Bird Haven in Spirit Lake, IA, will talk about the when, where and how-to of taking care of nest boxes for the upcoming spring nesting season. An assortment nest boxes will be available along with a variety of bird feeders and information on what type of see to use and why. Anyone is welcome and feel free to invite friends.
