The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to this year’s Farm & Home Show, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The show will be held at the JCC High School, in both gyms and the commons area.
We plan to have free pie, ice cream, milk and coffee available all day courtesy of our Farm and Home Show sponsors. The JCC FFA Chapter will be serving lunch on-site, as one of their major fundraisers. Last year over 65 vendors were at the show and well over 1000 people attended.

The Singing Saints, a 52-voice concert choir of St Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, Mo. will present a concert of sacred music at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakefield. A dinner to benefit the choir's tour will take place before the concert, serving from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Immanuel Activity Center. Barbecues, salads and ice cream will be served. A freewill offering will be taken, with supplemental funds provided by the Jackson County Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

If you take all rocks for granite, then this program is for you! Learn how rocks are formed, what kinds of rock formations we have in Minnesota and how to identify several rock types. Just how hard are rocks, anyway? Which is the hardest? Which ones can we break with our hands? You'll discover the answer to these questions and many more through fun games and bizarre experiments! We'll become geologists for the afternoon as we test specimens to discover their secret identities!

Lions Pancake Fiesta

The public is invited to the annual Jackson Lions Club pancake fiesta at Minnesota West Community and Technical College.
The group is collecting old or used softball and baseball equipment and used eyeglasses as well as shoes for Soles for Souls. Items may be brought to the fiesta. Tickets are available in advance from any Lions Club member or may be purchased at the door.

Members of the Riverside Parent-Teacher Organization and staff from Riverside Elementary School will host their annual fundraiser at Pizza Ranch in Jackson. PTO members will be assisting the Pizza Ranch employees with serving the families and friends of Riverside Elementary. Everyone is welcome to attend the event.
The PTO provides financial and physical support for many projects and events for the school such as school supplies, scholarships for students and volunteering for many activities.
