David Frank Hasbargen, 84Free Access

After a brief time in the hospital, David Frank Hasbargen passed peacefully on July 5, 2022. David was 84 years old, born June 12, 1938, to Frank and Francis Hasbargen in Jackson, Minnesota where he and his brother, Kenneth, helped operate the family farm. When he was fourteen years old his mother passed away and he was subsequently raised by his loving stepmother, Alma Hasbargen. On January 31, 1959, David married a local farm girl and the love of his life, Enid Nasby. They soon made their home in Kent, Washington where he went to work for Boeing and they created their family of three wonderful boys.

David spent three years in the Army National Guard and after his honorable discharge began work in the construction industry. He also owned and operated Dave’s Custom Rototilling and did work for many, many people in the area long after most people would have retired. He was a hardworking man all through his life and believed that if you weren’t early you were late. Never wanting to be idle, there wasn’t a lot of free time on his hands, but he made time to go duck hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife and sons, as well as extended family. Memories of time spent together at their vacation home in Moses Lake, Washington is countless and will be forever cherished.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Francis Hasbargen, stepmother, Alma Hasbargen, and his wife of 59 wonderful years, Enid Hasbargen, who passed in 2018. To know they are all together again brings comfort and joy as we mourn the loss of a true family patriarch.

He is survived by his three sons, Dean Hasbargen (Laurie) Wayne Hasbargen (Bettyanne) Mark Hasbargen (Susan) brother Kenneth Hasbargen (Diane), and numerous adoring grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The void that has been left in his absence is enormous, but we will all carry on to honor the memory of this very special man.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date and the family asks that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Red Cross or charity of your choice in his name.
