Donald Page, 88Free Access

On Saturday, December 1st, 2018, a very good man, Donald LeRoy Anthony Page, passed away at the age of 88 in Appleton, Wisconsin.  Don and his bride of 64 years, Ruth Ann Manross, raised four children in Appleton, Wisconsin, and have immensely enjoyed their 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Don was the apple of his mother’s eye, and he wanted it noted here that Cora Louise Page was a wonderful, loving mother.  Don served stateside in the Army during the Korean War.  After attending Dunwoody College of Technology, he was a mainframe computer troubleshooter for IBM for over 30 years.  Don could repair anything, and he was the on-call fix-it man for family, friends, neighbors and beyond!  Don had a great sense of humor, and he and Ruth Ann enjoyed the company of many friends and neighbors, loved dogs, puzzles, playing cards, tennis and traveling – especially road trips.  Don had an internal compass – he was more reliable than a GPS!

He is survived by his lovely wife, Ruth Ann; their four children: Page (Jeff) Weed, Ann (William) Schultz, Ross (Kendra) Page, and Mary (John) Wisniewski; 11 grandchildren: Brad (Aileen) Weed, Brian (Nina) Weed, Kellen (Eric) Wittman, Kristin (Chris) Branham, Will (fiancée Annika) Schultz, Lauren (Cole) Clements, Ryan (Cory) Page, Alaina Page, Rachel Wisniewski, Emily Wisniewski, and Marty Wisniewski; and six great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Parker and Boden Wittman and Tyla, Alexa and Quinn Branham. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Margie Johnson and Ida Gruelke of Jackson, Minnesota, his hometown.

A Mass of Christian burial for Don will be 11:30 AM on Friday, December 7, 2018, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. James Jugenheimer officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church Friday morning beginning at 9:30 until 11:15 AM, with Mass to follow at 11:30 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Don could be made to Dunwoody Technical College at 8666.thankyou4caring.org/donate-now; or contact David Crowley at Dunwoody at 1-612-381-8150.

Don’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Affinity Hospice Care for all of their care and compassion.
