Jackson woman injured in rollover near LakefieldFree Access


A Jackson woman was injured a one-vehicle rollover Wednesday afternoon south of Lakefield.

Bobbie Jo Moffett, 28, sustained what troopers with the Minnesota State Patrol termed “non-life-threatening” injuries in the rollover, which happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Aug. 10.

According to results of an investigation conducted by the state patrol, Moffett was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche northbound on Highway 86 near milepost 5 when she attempted to make a U-turn and the vehicle rolled. The Lakefield Ambulance Service, Lakefield Fire Department and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, with Moffett transported by ambulance to Sanford Jackson Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

Troopers said Moffett was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
