Dispatch transferred a 911 report to the Minnesota State Patrol of a two-vehicle crash involving a semi and a car at the intersection of Highway 60 and Highway 86.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the county.

Nov. 28

Deputies conducted a requested welfare check on an individual.

A deputy investigated a possible domestic-abuse-no-contact-order violation.

Dispatch transferred a 911 report to the Minnesota State Patrol of a Ford Edge reported to be all over the road on I-90 near the Heron Lake exit.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. After investigating, a 63-year-old male from Jackson was arrested for second-degree assault and domestic assault.

Nov. 29

A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Jackson. As a result, the driver was given a voucher for a free headlight repair.

A deputy responded to a trespass issue at an apartment complex in Jackson.

The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce notified the sheriff’s office its parade float in the Holiday Fest parade was voted as Judges Choice. Deputy Jordan Behr spearheaded the idea and decorating of the float.

Dispatch transferred a 911 report to the Minnesota State Patrol regarding an older pickup on I-90 near the Heron Lake exit that was reported to be all over the road.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Jackson at I-90 and Highway 71. As a result, the driver was issued a citation for no Minnesota driver’s license.

A deputy assisted a motorist on I-90 near Alpha with a flat tire.

Nov. 30

Deputies assisted the Jackson Ambulance with a medical call.

A deputy on routine patrol came upon a vehicle crash scene on 910th Street just west of County Road 17 in Delafield Township. Tire tracks and skid marks indicated a vehicle was traveling east on 910th Street and lost control. The vehicle entered the north ditch and likely rolled on its side striking a tree and several bushes. A few plastic vehicle parts were found scattered in the ditch. Additional tire tracks indicated a pickup towed the vehicle out of the ditch. The vehicle was likely totaled.

A deputy responded to a domestic-abuse-no-contact-order violation in Jackson. As a result, a 63-year-old male was arrested for violating that court order.

Deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated driver at the drive-through at Burger King in Jackson. It was reported the vehicle was refusing to leave the drive-through, The vehicle was gone when deputies arrived, but it was later located in downtown Jackson. After investigating, a 27-year-old male from Seward, Neb., was arrested for DUI.

Deputies responded to a commercial fire alarm in Jackson. It was determined to be a false alarm.

Dec. 1

A deputy assisted the Jackson County Central ninth-grade class with mock interviews throughout the day. They were conducted to give the students practice on interviewing for a career.

A deputy responded to a complaint of littering at the Timber Lake boat landing.

A deputy assisted the Windom Ambulance with a medical call in Wilder.

A deputy responded to a minor two-vehicle accident in Okabena.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on County Road 14 near County Road 19. As a result, the driver was issued a citation for speed — 70 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on I-90 at Jackson. As a result, the driver was issued a citation for speed — 108 miles per hour in a 70-mph zone.

Dec. 2

A deputy responded to a driving complaint in Jackson. A traffic stop was conducted. After investigating, a 51-year-old male from Jackson was arrested for first-degree DUI.

Deputies assisted the Jackson Ambulance with a medical call in Alpha.
