The Jackson County Central softball team used a four-run sixth inning to rally past Fairmont for a 6-2 win Friday afternoon in Fairmont.

Fairmont struck first with a run in the first, but JCC tied it when CJ Pauling was hit by a pitch and scored in the third.

The Cardinals regained the lead with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth, but the Huskies took the lead for good with their big sixth.

Miley VanDeVere singled to start the inning and scored on a Hadley Wachal double. Brielle Tufvesson later doubled home Wachal and Kinley VanDeVere before Lauren Johnson scored on a Pauling groundout.

Mady Wachal finished the scoring with a solo home run in the top of the seventh.

Hadley Wachal went the distance in the circle, striking out seven batters and allowing just five hits.

The win moves the Huskies to 7-4 on the season.

The Huskies are back in action Thursday when they host Redwood Valley in a doubleheader.
