The city of Jackson has declared a snow emergency starting at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30,  and continuing until the streets are plowed curb to curb. Residents are to have all cars, trucks, trailers, ice houses, garbage cans, etc., off the street by 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Violators will be ticketed.

Local food shelf sees high usage
