Little evidence that the Des Moines River has drained much is provided at the Jackson dam itself, as the water level was still near the top as of Monday morning. With the recent break in bad weather, Alpha Sandblast and Paint got to work Monday morning covering the bells on Good Shepherd Catholic Church’s tower in preparation for a sandblasting and new paint job.The work was expected to last much of the day Monday.
